The GYFTY optical cable structure involves placing 250μm optical fibers into loose tubes made from high-modulus materials, with these tubes filled with a water-resistant compound. At the center of the cable core is a glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), around which the loose tubes (along with filling ropes) are stranded to form a compact and circular cable core, with the gaps in the cable core filled with water-blocking compounds. An outer layer of polyethylene is then extruded over the cable core to complete the cable.
