GYFTY Cable

The GYFTY optical cable structure involves placing 250μm optical fibers into loose tubes made from high-modulus materials, with these tubes filled with a water-resistant compound. At the center of the cable core is a glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), around which the loose tubes (along with filling ropes) are stranded to form a compact and circular cable core, with the gaps in the cable core filled with water-blocking compounds. An outer layer of polyethylene is then extruded over the cable core to complete the cable.

Characteristics:

  1. Good mechanical and temperature performance
  2.  High strength looes tube that is hydrolysis resistant
  3. Special tube filling compound ensure a critical protection of fiber
  4. Crush resistance and flexibility
  5. Storage/Operating Temperature : -40℃ to + 70℃
  6. The following measures are taken to ensure the cable watertight:
  • Single Fiber Reinforced Plastic as the central strength member
  • Loose tube filling compound
  • – 100% cable core filling

Standards:

GYFTY cable complies with Standard YD/T 901-2001as well as IEC 60794-1.
