The GYTS optical cable structure involves placing 250μm optical fibers into loose tubes made from high-modulus materials, with these tubes filled with a water-resistant compound. At the center of the cable core is a metallic strength member, and for certain numbers of fibers, an additional layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded over the metallic strength member. The loose tubes (along with filling ropes) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular cable core, with the gaps in the cable core filled with water-blocking compounds. After that, a double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally wrapped and then a polyethylene sheath is extruded to complete the cable.
Characteristics:
GYTS cable complies with Standard YD/T 901-2001as well as IEC 60794-1.
